Creative Beings CIC is a Community Interest Company, (a social enterprise) so our profits are used to benefit the wider community. All courses and events are designed to promote wellbeing. Sometimes this might cover facilitating a safe space to speak freely. At other times it might be about encouraging people to 'have a go' at making marks on pieces of paper (some people call this drawing or painting!) See our courses & events for more info.
Some of these are priced to make a surplus that can then subsidise places for others who would not normally be able to attend. This financial support can cover travel expenses to attend sessions, specialist tutor fees and materials.
Participants often prefer that we run our social outreach workshops at their venues. In 2021, we ran sessions in Honiton, Exeter and Paignton. These two-way learning experiences aim to blend creative expression with personal development, for all involved. We've enjoyed leading a series of 5 Creative Wellbeing Workshops with charity Headway and you can see our highlights report for more information.
Here's an overview of our wider impact in our 2020 social impact report.
